Field Service Engineer (Southeastern US)

Netstal is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the southeastern US to support customers across the Americas by providing hands-on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for Netstal equipment and related systems. This role is ideal for a highly technical, customer-focused professional who enjoys problem solving, working independently, and traveling to customer sites to keep operations running at peak performance.

You will provide support both on-site at customer facilities and occasionally remote/phone support from the home office as directed by management.

• Ensure equipment performance meets customer requirements
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to customers on-site and by phone
• Install, repair, replace, and service Netstal equipment and related systems
• Deliver technical guidance on product application
• Conduct training and service programs on operation and maintenance when needed
• Independently resolve complex technical issues requiring ingenuity and strong diagnostic ability

This position operates primarily at Netstal customer sites. Field work includes exposure to moving mechanical and electrical parts and may involve loud environments.

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb regularly
• Lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
• Maintain strong visual capabilities (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment)
• Work in a constant state of alertness

This is a full-time hourly role with typical working hours:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Paid overtime as necessary
• Working hours may vary based on customer needs.

Travel is significant and required for this role:

• Primarily multi-regional travel during business days
• Frequent overnight travel
• Occasional international travel possible (including Switzerland) for training and conferences
• Estimated travel requirement: approximately 80%

• High school diploma or Associate Degree in a technical field
• 3–5 years of related mechanical/electrical experience (preferably as a Field Service Engineer/Technician)
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong understanding of machinery processes including robotic equipment, operations, and installations
• Experience supporting complex industrial or automation equipment
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer communication
