Sr. Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater

As the Sr. Project Engineering Manager for Water & Wastewater, you will manage execution of the engineering component of multiple traditional, design‑build, design‑bid‑build, and collaborative delivery projects including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon neutral solutions.

You will lead a multi‑discipline team of engineers and technicians on high profile municipal projects, supervise and mentor engineering staff, and manage budgets, scheduling, and correspondence with clients and project management.

• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
• Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations
• Oversee collection of data and management of engineering work
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines
• Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for complex projects
• Establish a workplan to be applied to a project

• Identify key client interests and drivers for highly complex projects
• Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions
• Provide support for business development or pursuit activities
• Manage project changes directly with the client in partnership with Project Management

• Lead large multi‑discipline teams to meet project deliverables
• Serve as technical leader for complex water and wastewater treatment projects
• Drive solutions to achieve project goals
• May support the chief engineer and discipline specific engineering processes

• Review lower‑level engineering work or assignments
• Perform hiring, mentoring, performance management and pay administration of assigned personnel

• PE license
• Previous engineering consulting experience
• Experience executing complex multi‑discipline WTP and WWTP upgrades and expansion projects

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the United States or in the country of practice
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience
• Applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screen, etc.)

Depending on the nature of work performed, incumbents typically must have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country, or be in active pursuit of such registration. Additional professional registration or licensure may be required when practicing or on assignment in another country. Exceptions may be approved by division management on a case‑by‑case basis.

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on managerial discretion and job performance
