Freese and Nichols is looking for a Traffic Engineer in the Greenville, Columbia, or Raleigh offices
. As a Traffic Engineer, you will support traffic studies and analyses that inform transportation planning and design decisions for public-sector clients. You will work alongside experienced engineers and planners while continuing to develop your technical expertise.
- Perform traffic impact analyses, operational studies, and safety evaluations
- Develop traffic models, forecasts, and supporting documentation
- Assist with agency coordination and technical reviews
- Support senior engineers and planners on transportation projects
- Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 3+ years of traffic engineering experience
Preferred
- Experience with traffic analysis software
- Exposure to DOT or public-sector transportation projects
