BRUSH Power Generation enhances Baker Hughes portfolio of electromechanical equipment, including electric generators, synchronous condensers, electric motors, and associated control power management systems.

• Performing winding inspection, electrical testing, maintenance and repairs on Generator HV windings on customer sites globally.
• Providing basic mechanical strip-down (and rebuild) of machines to gain access to the generator windings along with electrical testing on high and low voltage windings.
• Providing visual winding inspections of the stator, rotor and excitation system as well as in-situ generator winding repairs including stator re-wedge work.
• Working as part of a team for on-site stator strip and rewind operations.
• Assisting mechanical service engineer(s) on assignments, which will not necessarily involve winding related activities.
• Supervising and train internal and external customers.
• Interpreting technical drawings, specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and prepare detailed and concise reports for submission to customers. Attend technical meetings on site and at customers’ premises.
• Conducting an on-site risk assessment on every assignment and record details thereof on the special form provided.

• Have a technical degree from an accredited school and 3+ yrs of field service experience
• Have competencies with tooling including basic hand tools, multi‑meters, megger, rigging equipment, generator‑specific tooling, and HIPot
• Have experience working with air, hydrogen, and liquid‑cooled generators in both 2‑pole and 4‑pole configurations
• Have experience performing generator high‑voltage tests such as PI, DC Leakage, and HIPot
• Have experience using generator rotor and stator robotic test systems including RoGIS, MAGIC, and MAGIC Jr.
• Have the ability and willingness to travel frequently—domestically and internationally—often on short notice, for 75–85% of the time or as business needs require
