This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Design Engineer based in Los Angeles, CA, or our La Jolla, CA office with some flexibility for remote work. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting structural analysis, designing structural systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to create construction-ready designs and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to develop creative and efficient solutions.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering principles
- Strong foundation in Structural/Civil Engineering concepts and methodologies
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and AutoCAD software tools
- Background in using engineering standards and regulations when evaluating designs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural specialization
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and safety requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and communicate design concepts clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with state and local building codes and standards is advantageous
