Engineer, Systems Engineer

Overview

As an Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll work on some of the UK's most complex and high-profile engineering programmes, helping to ensure that submarines remain safe, available and ready to deploy when needed. Day-to-day, you'll build upon your proven communication skills and deliver engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely.

• Delivering engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely
• Conducting technical investigations across in-service and future submarine platforms
• Reviewing and approving technical documentation including calculations, analysis, drawings and reports
• Evaluating technical issues and developing proposals, investigations or engineering solutions
• Supporting or driving Integrated Logistic Support solutions and continuous improvement initiatives

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

• Engineering experience, or a strong desire to start or grow a career in engineering
• Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• The ability to influence outcomes and build positive working relationships
• A proactive mindset with a drive to own and shape your professional development

• A recognised STEM qualification, or relevant experience in lieu of formal education

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
