What This Means in Practice:
- On‑site performance at private client‑controlled locations is the default.
- No guarantee of telework; alternate arrangements must be explicitly authorized.
- Personnel may rotate between:
Headquarters/central program offices; regional technical/operational centers; field/project offices; secure operational sites. - OCONUS travel is possible but not continuous — generally short‑duration planning, coordination, or specific mission support.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance readiness, compliance, and sustainment of fixed‑wing ISR aircraft supporting mission operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across a dispersed fleet
- Implement and monitor aircraft maintenance Quality Assurance and inspection programs
- Track discrepancies, corrective actions, and maintenance documentation
- Support integration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of ISR avionics and surveillance payloads
- Liaise with maintenance vendors; review estimates, schedules, and billing
- Ensure FAA and client standards are met; occasional mission‑passenger flights; CONUS travel
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) required;
Inspection Authorization preferred - Hands‑on experience with ISR avionics/payloads and aircraft electrical systems
- Familiarity with electronic maintenance records (e.g., CAMP, equivalent)
- Strong QA discipline, documentation, and vendor coordination
- 10+ years aircraft maintenance experience, including 5+ years coordinating or managing maintenance programs
