Position Responsibilities:This individual is intended to function as a senior structural engineer/project manager. The individual must be able to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service (internal and external) and as well as a drive to succeed. Additional project support and project management responsibilities will be assigned on a project by project basis. While this is an office based position, some travel may be required.
Some of the responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Review and perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and communicate same to others.. Individual is expected to be fully-versed in aspects of structural engineering for the industrial sector: including the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures and foundation systems.
- Maintaining project schedule, scope, profitability, and other project management functions
- Assist business development efforts by applying technical knowledge to identify and understand client needs and define scope of work requirements to support proposals.
- Coordinate effectively with other departments for multi-discipline projects
- Maintain and expand client relationships
- Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with industrial structural design and/or project management
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
- Thorough knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI
- Master's Degree
- Knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI
- Very strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Individual must have a work history which represents increasing responsibility, inclusive of leadership without authority
- $120k - $140k per year, depending on all candidate factors; such as qualifications, experience level, etc.
