Overview
CAD Specialist role at Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. This is a remote, home office role. The selected candidate must be near Tustin, CA or Cleveland, OH to attend onsite training for the first 90 days.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Site Planning, CAD blocks, drawing templates, typical drawings and equipment planning specification sheets for Canon products, ensuring information is accurate, clear, complete, and in compliance with all standards and specifications.
- Provide CAD training to the Site Planning Group to enhance planning skills and maintain department drawing standards for all modalities with multi-layer drawings, paper/model space, embedded attributes, archiving, and plotting.
- Support the Site Planning Department by producing preliminary and final site plans for all modalities, ensuring equipment information and specifications are correct and free of errors prior to distribution for CMSU equipment installations.
- Compile and consolidate CMSC engineering drawings and documents and convert them to the required drawing information formats for the Site Planning group.
- Collaborate with the CAD Applications Specialist to provide 3D drawing information to support Canon's Envision
360 drawing platform. - Attend New Product Release (NPR) meetings as required for all modalities to assist Site Planning Modality Specialist with new product release information for Site Planners.
- Provide input to CAD Applications Specialist/Management for new computer hardware and software to ensure equipment used by the Site Planning department is up to date and aligned with industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Expert knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting, 3D Modeling and associative drawing software and hardware applications; strong understanding of construction practices.
- Working knowledge of all Canon modalities or medical planning experience.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- International and Domestic travel required approximately 10% - 15% of the time.
- Pay Range: $84K to $139K (DOE).
- Must be near Tustin, CA or Cleveland, OH to attend onsite training for the first 90 days.
