Job Summary

Bechtel is partnering with Next Decade to support their Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations, apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements.

You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

• Prepares schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
• Performs schedule development duties including work breakdown structure (WBS), activity duration, workflow logic ties, and required job expenditure
• Performs schedule monitoring, identifies critical activities, and updates for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
• Develops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements
• Identifies and reports activities with a critical or potential schedule impact
• Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

  Requires bachelor s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in planning and scheduling functions: development, control, and analysis in both field and home office
• Experience in leading teams and managing direct reports
• Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple software applications
• Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes as performed by Bechtel
