Renewables Asset Manager, Commercial Strategy - REMOTE

Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is in an accelerated expansion phase.

The Energy Storage Asset Manager will join a growing Asset Management Division, a creative team focused on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.

The role involves leading commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization for renewable energy battery storage assets across a nationwide utility-scale renewable portfolio. It includes pioneering the build-out of a proprietary energy storage management platform.

• Experience in utility-scale renewables asset management, portfolio management, or operations; commercial asset management experience is REQUIRED; engineering background is a plus.
• Proven success in asset management/engineering, including financial performance optimization, O&M, and energy management across various platforms.
• Strong background in P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, PPAs, and cash management.
• Experience managing third-party O&M contractors and service providers.
• Knowledge of NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO operational compliance, outage management, and switching orders.
• Familiarity with SCADA management and plant control systems.
• Ability to review commercial agreements is a plus.
• Ideal candidates may have held roles such as Sr. Portfolio Manager, Asset Manager, or similar in renewable or clean energy companies.
