We are looking for a Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Orlando office. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry is preferred. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. A technical degree and knowledge of Micro Station and/or ESRI is a plus.
Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment.
- Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline as-builts and mechanical detail drawings
- Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
- Generate bill of materials
- Ability to work independently
- Print working drawings using a plotter
- Create estimated time requirements for projects
- Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
- Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis
- Operate a scanner to duplicate project documents and scan field notes
- Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc.
- Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure
- Verify and organize field visit survey notes
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
- High school diploma required
- 2 or more years of related experience required
