Location: San Diego, CA at our G2 Ops office and customer site

Work Setting: In person, some remote opportunity, and/or flexible working hours, not a fully remote position

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance

Model-Based Systems Engineer. This exciting position will support NAVWAR’s Systems of Systems engineering competency and Technical/Certification Authority. You will help ensure the capabilities delivered to the Fleet are technically sound, resilient, interoperable, and compliant with DoD and DON policy, requirements, architectures, and standards.

• Apply modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation across the acquisition lifecycle
• Produce reports and artifacts to support NAVWAR engineering and certification activities
• Coordinate information and resources to meet digital engineering objectives
• Utilize SysML/UML and MBSE tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody, or similar

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
• Experience in MBSE and systems analysis
• Ability to apply modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation across the acquisition lifecycle

The annual salary range for this position starts at $70,000 and goes up based on qualifications. Ranges vary by opportunity, experience, and other factors.

We offer a flexible schedule but cannot offer fully remote opportunities due to project classification. You will have a desk at the G2 Ops office, with possible work at a government site as well as telework with prior approval.

DoD Secret clearance is preferred; active clearance is advantageous for consideration.
