As they continue expanding their project portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Lead Estimator Role (Mechanical) to lead preconstruction planning, cost estimating, and project strategy development. This role is critical to ensuring successful project execution from inception to groundbreaking.

As a key leader in the preconstruction department, you will be responsible for driving cost‑effective project planning, value engineering, and accurate budgeting to secure and execute large-scale mechanical projects.

• Extensive experience in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project management within commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, local codes, and industry best practices.
• Must have an active network of subcontractors, suppliers, and industry contacts to leverage for competitive bidding.
• Proficiency in Trimble Auto Bid.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
• Strong leadership skills to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client interactions and vendor pricing.

• Lead the preconstruction process for large-scale mechanical projects, from initial budgeting to final bid submission.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, material takeoffs, and labor projections.
• Perform constructability reviews to ensure efficient design and installation methods.
• Identify and implement value engineering solutions to improve project efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Collaborate with general contractors, developers, and internal project teams to ensure project alignment.
• Analyze market trends, labor costs, and supply chain factors to secure competitive pricing.
• Participate in client presentations and proposal development to win high-value projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance project success.

• REMOTE – with travel 1–2 x per month to job sites in Georgia.
