Engineering. Our client is a well-established full-service engineering consulting firm offering a broad range of engineering services to clients nationwide and internationally. They are seeking a Solar Engineering Project Manager to lead commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects from concept to completion. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work and time in the New Jersey office, ideal for a technically strong and organized leader passionate about renewable energy.

Note:

This is an inherently technical role that requires the Project Manager to be an Engineer.

• Manage full project life cycles for solar PV systems and PV + BESS projects, from initial client interaction to final delivery.
• Provide functional leadership to internal engineering teams and coordinate with vendors, consultants, and utilities.
• Ensure projects meet technical, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Mentor junior staff and promote continuous process improvement.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed electrical designs and construction documents.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing expert guidance throughout the project.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in solar engineering as well as project management.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of PV Syst, Helioscope, and ETAP is a plus.
• Ability to produce complete electrical designs and documentation for solar systems.
• Comfortable managing teams and communicating effectively with clients.
