Job Title: Civil Engineering CAD Designer/Technician or Engineer
Location: Steamboat Springs, CO (On-site preferred. Remote work arrangements may be considered)

Civil Design Consultants, Inc. (CDC) is a small civil engineering consulting firm located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We’ve been serving local mountain community for over 38 years delivering quality engineering services to private and public clients.
Pay
Pay will vary depending on experience and qualifications. We have an immediate need for someone with Civil 3D drafting experience but we are always interested in hiring seasoned professionals, and can offer competitive pay.
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified CAD Designer or Engineer with design experience using Civil 3D to join our firm with skills, experience, and interest to continue to learn and improve capabilities in Civil 3D to prepare civil engineering drawings for site plans, grading and drainage, water and sewer, roads, trails, subdivisions, water and sewer infrastructure (wells, pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and treatment facilities), and report exhibits.
This work will consist of digitizing existing conditions, annotation and labeling, editing drawings based on redlines or for clarity, setting up sheet sets, plotting to pdf, data extraction and exports (e.g., cut/fill volumes, pipe reports), GIS data integration, LIDOR and surface creation, creating road alignments and profiles, roadway or site grading corridor models, grading plans, pipe networks, earthwork and volume calculations, and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities
· Prepare drawings to meet the needs of a given project, adhering to applicable regulatory requirements and design criteria with the support/collaboration of a project design team.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills.
· Proficiency in Auto Desk Civil 3D and MS Office.
Preferences
· 2- or 4-year Degree in Engineering or Technology
· Prior experience with preparation of civil engineering drawings.

Compensation will be based on experience. Our goal is to provide a variety of work and support your continuing professional growth and development. In addition to a CAD Designer, we are looking to hire a Civil Engineering Project Engineer/Project Manager with a specialty in roads/grading/drainage/utilities, and/or water/sewer/treatment. Our office is located close to the Steamboat Base Area and on the bus line, with easy access to the slopes.
