Responsibilities
- Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including GA's Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLDs, PFDs and P&IDs using AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant CAD software.
- Produce BOM listings to enable specifications, calculations and component selection by others.
- Take responsibility for ensuring conceptual design and tender preparation documents are delivered on time and meet required quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to create, update and manage BIM models in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Utilize a Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control and efficient project collaboration.
- Work in the Engineering Team to provide consultative design support and, in some instances, support the installation and construction phase of projects.
- Produce project‑specific installation specifications to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors, including appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (layouts, general arrangements, planning and piping drawings).
- Create 3D renders for use in bid documentation.
- Generate, import and work with LiDAR scans in CAD using Trimble X9 scanner.
- Liaise with Electrical Design Engineer to identify project requirements and develop detailed design.
- Support and assist in the development stage of projects, ensuring conceptual design and tender preparation documents are prepared in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.
- Previous CAD experience in 2D & 3D.
- Experience creating P& layout drawings.
- Relevant engineering qualification, e.g., degree, HNC/HND or equivalent.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and standards (ISO 19650).
- Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g., Viewpoint, BIM
360/ACC or Projectwise). - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and software as required.

Compensation & BenefitsSalary:
Up to £36,000 per annum plus 10% bonus and Veolia benefits.

40 hours per week (Flexible hours to suit work‑life balance).

Nationwide – can be home based or work from one of Veolia’s regional offices (Cannock, Horsham, Warrington, London & Edinburgh).
