This role emphasizes repeatable, detail‑driven drafting work, using existing templates and modular standards, and incorporates quality assurance, redlining, and BIM coordination as needed. The designer will work closely with both local and remote engineering resources and will be embedded onsite as an integral part of the day‑to‑day project execution.

  • Develop and manage large sets of repeatable drawings (estimated 1,700–2,000 sheets for this project), supporting phases of work in a high‑volume, detail‑oriented environment.
  • Adapt template‑based designs to accommodate variations in panel sizing, device counts, VFD horsepower ratings, IO points, and cabling.
  • Collaborate with embedded engineering management for redline revisions, QC reviews, and delivery of design packages.
  • Support the engineering team with panel break drawings, color‑coding layouts, and device manifest updates.
  • Potentially participate in BIM modeling and Revit updates for wire tray feeders, control panels, and clash detection as required by the client.
  • Attend remotely, onsite reviews, collaborate with engineering staff in the Atlanta office, and take part in back‑and‑forth package subscription and revision processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation and version control of all drawings and revisions in line with project standards and client expectations.
Requirements
  • Proven 3‑5 years of experience in electrical design or drafting, in industrial and/or automation production environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
2026 and AutoCAD Electrical; ability to manage large drawing sets and modular templates.
  • Experienced working with power distribution systems, panel layouts, VFDs, IO modules, and high‑detail, repeatable design tasks.
  • Redlining, drawing revisions, and working in a standardized workflow.
  • Preferred but not required: experience with BIM modeling, Revit, and clash detection methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the local Atlanta office and with remote teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness for rapid project delivery and quality assurance.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving standards and approaches as defined during project initiation.
