Structural Engineer (Buildings) – Sweco

The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design centre within the Sweco Group, specialising in engineering, architecture and design across infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing and IT systems. It currently collaborates with Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

• Preparation of structural documentation and structural calculations
• Design of load‑bearing structures
• Preparation of project materials throughout all project phases
• Design and modelling of building projects using FEM modelling, computational design and/or BIM methodology
• Close collaboration with suppliers for static documentation, advising and guiding customers, including supervision and project follow‑up
• Coordination with multidisciplinary teams

We work on new construction and renovation projects in residential buildings, schools, daycare institutions, sports and cultural facilities, commercial buildings and office buildings.

Civil structures – primarily concrete, with additional steel and timber construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience in calculating primary structural elements of buildings – experience with both renovation and new construction is an advantage
• Advanced level in Robot Structural Analysis/Strusoft FEM Design/MathCAD, or other FEM programmes
• Materials expertise with concrete elements and foundations
• Strong understanding of static principles and their engineering application
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Good to have: Revit knowledge, construction modelling skills, computational design skills, and programming skills in Grasshopper for parametric construction modelling
