Overview
Colliers Project Leaders is looking for a Preconstruction Manager – Design Management Support to join our Owner's Rep team remotely within the US.
The Design Management Support role for a key data center client provides day‑to‑day coordination and operational support to ensure the design process remains organized, aligned, and responsive throughout design and construction. It manages design documentation, schedules, and package tracking while maintaining Procore Standards and ensuring compliance across architect and engineering partners. Acting as a liaison between design teams, project management, and construction, the role supports coordination across EORs, design‑assist partners, and subcontractors to drive clarity, close submittals, and resolve RFIs.
The role also assists with construction administration, QA/QC of design issuances, and change management by helping identify cost and scope impacts. Overall, the team member focuses on enabling efficient design delivery, alignment across buildings, and smooth integration of customer or tenant design needs.

Responsibilities- Procore Management
- Fix/manage file structure.
- Ensure compliance/maintenance by architect/engineer partners.
- Design Schedule Management
- Ensuring weekly updates & schedule accuracy.
- Design Package Tracking, Narratives, Scopes (BB vs TFO)
- Design Alignment
- Lessons learned between buildings.
- VE items.
- Sharing of information between design partners and buildings.
- Design Management
- Design Assist/EOR/Sub Engagement.
- Develop meeting tracker with subs & GC.
- Driving design clarity, submittals/shop drawings to closure.
- Ensure cross‑EOR coordination/alignment in design, etc.
- Lead meetings.
- Construction Administration Management – Weekly meeting with A&E partners
- Submittals/RFI's – escalation and involvement.
- Site visits with A&E partners and QA/QC team.
- Mock‑ups/FOK/etc.
- Understand Design Inside/Out (BOD, etc.)
- Serve as a middleman for PM/CM to liaison with A&E team.
- Change Management/PCO Entitlements
- Train‑up on contract and expectations on change management for GC.
- Be a resource for Cost Management team when there is an RFI or bulletin with a cost impact.
- QA/QC design issuance and narratives – ensure categories of change are listed at the drawing sheet level.
- Assist with customer/tenant design integration as needed.
- Degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of design/preconstruction experience or project management experience with a design management role.
- Familiarity with MEP systems and how data centers operate.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
