The Opportunity- Focus on civil site development projects, assisting in design, construction, and project management of grading, stormwater, erosion control, culvert, and pavement design.
- Hands‑on involvement in the permitting process.
- Significant interaction with multidisciplinary internal teams and external clients.
As part of BV Operations, you will support projects across our three market sectors—Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial—working on projects ranging from small community improvements to grand‑scale mega projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform design of projects from conceptual and bid phase through design completion, based on project manager requirements.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Interface directly with the client or sub‑consultants under the Engineering Manager’s direction.
- Support business development through writing technical approaches, scopes of work, and client presentations.
- Maintain effective communication with other engineering disciplines and the project team.
- Experience with the 2024 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington.
- Proven experience on Puget Sound Energy projects, specifically performing site development.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington State.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).
- Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
- Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
- Hybrid or flexible work options after the first 90 days, based on manager discretion.
- Typical office/home office environment; demands include sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods.
- May require travel to local and regional client sites.
