The Remediation Program Management (RPM) team is your opportunity to apply your skills and join a diverse and growing team within WSP supporting our key clients in contaminated site assessment, remediation, and reclamation. - Participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
- Prepare Health and safety plans and Emergency response plans.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for reports, write reports including preparing conclusions and recommendations.
- Responsible for project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP's Master Services Agreements.
- Train junior staff in environmental practices and conduct site visits to ensure safety and technical requirements are meeting our high standards.
- Interface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward with quality at the forefront.
- Work with and provide support to other members of the Remediation Program Management in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion and client service responsibilities.
- University degree or college diploma in engineering or environmental sciences.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contaminated site assessments; downstream experience is considered an asset.
- Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace.
- Possess a safety conscious attitude.
- Strong field experience is considered an asset.
- Understanding of the BC Environmental Management Act/Contaminated Sites Regulation.
- Professional designation is preferred.
