Are you a seasoned Commissioning Engineer with a passion for high-voltage transmission projects? Ready to take on a high-impact role with a leading name in the energy sector?

We’re looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme, starting ASAP
. This is a 12-month contract with a day rate of £860 (Inside IR35 via PAYE Umbrella).

• Leading commissioning activities from Practical Completion (PC) to energisation.
• Collaborating with stakeholders in joint commissioning meetings.
• Liaising with the ESO for EON/ION requirements.
• Ensuring seamless transition from construction to commissioning.
• Applying and restoring protection settings during commissioning.
• Diagnosing and resolving protection circuit issues.
• Creating detailed commissioning switching programs and schedules.
• Reporting weekly to senior management.

• Proven experience as a Lead Commissioning Engineer
  .
• Strong background in transmission substations
  .
• Hands‑on experience with NG ESO / NGET would be preferred.
• NG Persons authorisation – highly desirable.
• GWO Certs

Location: Remote-based with flexibility for site and vessel visits
, plus occasional travel to the Glasgow office
