PositionResponsibilities
- Review and perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details, and communicate these to colleagues and clients. The individual must be fully versed in structural engineering for the industrial sector, including steel and concrete design and foundation systems.
- Applicable experience sectors may include Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and Mining.
- Assist business‑development efforts by applying technical knowledge to identify and understand client needs and define scope of work to support proposals.
- Coordinate effectively with other departments on multi‑discipline projects.
- Maintain and expand client relationships.
- B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of practical experience with piping design and equipment sizing/evaluations (pumps, compressors, mixers, etc.); hydraulic design and capacity assessment are a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer registration.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with hydraulic design and capacity assessment.
- Experience with construction observation.
- AutoCAD or Revit experience.
- Proficiency in an industry‑standard piping analysis program (e.g., Nozzle Pro, CAESAR II, AFT Software, ASPEN).
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated increasing responsibility, including leadership without authority.
- Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
