Supplier Metallurgical Control Specialist – Northwest Region; Remote

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Review and approve suppliers’ systems for chemical and metallurgical process control
• Conduct product and process reviews/surveillance at various suppliers
• Actively participate in investigations of chemical metallurgical issues at suppliers
• Conduct training on quality material control system requirements at suppliers
• Assist suppliers with non-conformance documentation and root cause corrective action investigations

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Strong background in chemical/metallurgical processes and quality control
• Proven experience in auditing suppliers’ processes and products
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees at suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Degree in Material Science/Engineering
• Background in castings and testing/control of raw materials
• Experience with laser machining, electro-discharge machining, and other metallurgical processes
• Knowledge of product integrity and supplier quality systems
• Familiarity with continuous improvement activities
