Transportation Technologist (Intermediate)

We are currently searching for an Intermediate Transportation Technologist in our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to develop and prepare drawings used in design services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on airports, highways, roads, bridges and transportation-related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas.

- Utilizing CAD software to create and prepare technical drawings for our bridge, roadway and aviation projects that best represent project requirements from concept to detailed design to record.
- Modifying and revising existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers or other team members.
- Working closely with colleagues (and under the guidance of more advanced team members) to understand and ensure compliance of drafting standards.
- Preparing and exporting drawings and models in various formats for project submissions.
- Organizing and managing a variety of CAD files, ensuring that drawings and models are accessible to other team members.
- An Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent diploma from an accredited technical college.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Committed team player.
