Electronics Support Technician

Important:

Possible flexible and some remote working potentials. Opportunity to do a compressed 37 hour week - Monday to Thursday.

This is not a call centre role. We are looking for Engineers / Technician's who can clearly explain technical issues, support customers professionally, remain calm under pressure, and confidently represent the company to clients.

Role responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair optical and electronic equipment and associated support systems to agreed quality and turnaround standards.
Provide technical support to customers, including out-of-hours cover where required.
Record all work accurately in company failure-reporting systems to ensure full auditability and support trend analysis.
Conduct inspection and acceptance testing of new equipment.
Implement and test hardware and software modifications as required.
Ensure compliance with airworthiness, safety, and security policies.
Handle and protect sensitive information in line with company security requirement.

Experience needed:

Hands on electronics fault finding, repair, inspection and testing.
Experience working across safety-critical Electronics /Systems.
Strong documentation and procedural compliance.
Comfort working with complex electronic systems.
Willingness to learn optical, IR, CCD or sensor-based technology
Structured approach to diagnostics and repair
Use of technical publications, drawings, and procedures.
Accurate recording of faults, repairs and outcomes.
Comfort working in a small, accountable team.

Desirable:

Defence is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in the RAF, aerospace, aviation, rail, nuclear, or other regulated engineering environments.
Optical / Electro-Optical experience is desirable not essential.
