We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and manage electrical engineering projects across multiple manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This role involves full‑lifecycle project management—from concept and design through procurement, installation, commissioning, and optimization—ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all phases of electrical engineering projects, including feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, and post‑startup optimization.
- Design and implement 480V power distribution systems
, MCC configurations, and VFD installations. - Develop motor lists, PDC layouts, MCC feeders, and control components, ensuring proper sizing and configuration.
- Direct designers and consultants to produce detailed drawings, cable/conduit schedules, and electrical room layouts.
- Perform arc flash and coordination studies for electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC),
NFPA 70E
, and other applicable codes and standards. - Manage project scope, budget, and schedule while mitigating risks and ensuring safety.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in electrical design and project management for large‑scale industrial projects.
- Expertise in 480V power distribution
, MCCs, VFDs, and large project installations (> $4M). - Proficiency in MS Project
, AutoCAD
, Easy Power
, and MS Office tools. - Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to travel up to 30% annually.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with Allen‑Bradley Control Logix systems.
- Remote flexibility with travel for hands‑on project work.
