Field Service Engineer

C-RAD is an expanding global medical device company headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden. We develop, manufacture, and sell innovative solutions for healthcare customers, focusing on patient positioning, monitoring, and imaging within Radiation Therapy (RT). We are a market leader in optical patient positioning and surface tracking.

Our products enable precision treatments by positioning and monitoring patients during radiation therapy, maximizing dose in tumors while minimizing dose to surrounding tissues. They support all major Photon and Proton therapy systems.

Here’s the chance to join our US‑based Service team in Seattle and fight against cancer!

• As a Field Service Engineer you will perform installations and maintenance on radiation therapy products, based in Seattle with regular travel across the United States and Canada.
• You will plan and execute installations and customer acceptance, perform on‑site service and preventive maintenance, and provide remote customer support from your home office.
• This role is well suited to engineers who enjoy hands‑on troubleshooting, travel, and completing complex installations independently.

• Prepare and execute installations, service, and support activities in line with company procedures and routines.
• Diagnose system or technical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Provide basic customer technical training related to products.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Document service calls, cases, and reports in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide remote customer support as part of a rotating on‑call schedule during business hours, with some schedule flexibility.

• Medical device or radiotherapy experience is beneficial but not required; we prioritize strong troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity, comfort with computers and hands‑on work, and persistence to fully resolve issues.
• Practical, hands‑on experience with Windows‑based systems and IT/networking tasks, including system configuration, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, network connectivity, and diagnostics.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Electronics, Computer, Mechanical) or IT, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75 %.
• Ability to safely work on ladders, above drop ceilings, and lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Driver’s license and eligible for passport.
