We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to oversee the design, development, implementation, and analysis of complex technical products, processes, and systems for our nuclear power plant operations.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will manage the design of CNC toolings and welding equipment using a “clean‑sheet” approach or by modifying off‑the‑shelf components. Your work will span custom field welding tooling, interface with Field Operations, and troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure configuration control. This is a full‑time, remote position that may require travel to nuclear power plants.

• Prepare 3‑D models of tooling designs and systems using Autodesk Inventor and produce detailed drawings.
• Perform strength, mechanics, and machine design calculations to validate design integrity.
• Lead tooling system qualification, proof‑of‑concept testing, and data preparation.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations during production and bench testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment assembly issues and field deployment challenges.

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; M.S. or M.B.A. preferred.
• Proficient in part tolerancing, GD&T, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Vault.
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS.

Estimated annual range: $85,200 – $106,500 (dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills).
