Transmission Line Subject Matter Expert

Exciting opportunity for technical Transmission Line Engineers to support a major utility as an Owner's Representative with the chance to work remotely and up to 25% travel for site visits.

Successful applicants will have a dedicated workspace, an independent mindset, and will work hours from 9-5 EST Monday through Friday.

• Provide A+ technical support to the Project Engineering teams while maintaining schedule & budget of assigned projects.
• Respond to project RFIs using in-depth Transmission line knowledge, teamwork, and engineering judgment.
• Develop, interpret & implement Transmission line standards.
• Lead and mentor Project Engineers to better understand technical requirements.
• Identify & drive opportunities for process improvement.

• B.S. in Engineering with deep knowledge of at least one Transmission discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years technically supporting a variety of transmission line projects at 230kV or above.
• Excellent communication skills – able to convey complex ideas both written and verbally.
• Aggressive and team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn new things and work outside your comfort zone.
• Assertive leadership qualities proven through project work.
• Successful experience working with diverse teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to make informed independent decisions with minimal technical review.

• Professional Engineer certification.
• Field experience.
• Experience developing standards.

Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay range: $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
