Transmission Line Subject Matter Expert
Exciting opportunity for technical Transmission Line Engineers to support a major utility as an Owner's Representative with the chance to work remotely and up to 25% travel for site visits.
Remote Work ExpectationsSuccessful applicants will have a dedicated workspace, an independent mindset, and will work hours from 9-5 EST Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities- Provide A+ technical support to the Project Engineering teams while maintaining schedule & budget of assigned projects.
- Respond to project RFIs using in-depth Transmission line knowledge, teamwork, and engineering judgment.
- Develop, interpret & implement Transmission line standards.
- Lead and mentor Project Engineers to better understand technical requirements.
- Identify & drive opportunities for process improvement.
- B.S. in Engineering with deep knowledge of at least one Transmission discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years technically supporting a variety of transmission line projects at 230kV or above.
- Excellent communication skills – able to convey complex ideas both written and verbally.
- Aggressive and team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn new things and work outside your comfort zone.
- Assertive leadership qualities proven through project work.
- Successful experience working with diverse teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to make informed independent decisions with minimal technical review.
- Professional Engineer certification.
- Field experience.
- Experience developing standards.
Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
