Job Description
Summary of duties, skills & approach
Support and lead the production of medical equipment planning inputs for health facility projects, including the development of:
- Detailed equipment strategies, methodologies and design briefing documents
- Research and reporting on future technologies and changes in clinical practice
- Evidence‑based room‑by‑room equipment schedules for all fixtures, fittings and equipment
- Technical review of equipment layout drawings
- Input and output specifications for fixtures, furniture and equipment
- Lifecycle planning and whole‑life cost assessments of equipment
- Asset transfer planning and survey
- Start‑up and commissioning plans, consumables appraisals, maintenance assessments and hazardous emissions risks
- Review and develop equipment‑related project contractual documents
- Attend/support or lead client, stakeholder and design team presentations, workshops, review meetings, and commercial meetings
- Liaise with clients and client representatives regarding all technical aspects of a project
- Identify and, in conjunction with others, manage risks and issues that may affect successful project delivery
- Manage, plan and assign, in conjunction with others, deployment of project resource
- Manage, in conjunction with others, the project programme
- Support or lead equipment asset survey process, including:
- Asset inspection and review
- Support or lead the equipment procurement management process, including:
- Programme and strategy development
- Supplier identification and pre‑qualification
