You will work within a core team responsible for the delivery of a standardised modular system, performing optioneering studies to determine optimal design, manufacturing, and construction solutions in keeping with the SMR modular build philosophy. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to guide and mentor junior engineers to help them develop their full potential.
Responsibilities- Design and concept development of design solutions for the Rolls‑Royce SMR modular kit of parts including modular frames and variants.
- Design of work packages to applicable standards and hazard requirements.
- Participate in the Rolls‑Royce SMR Design Process, contributing at Definition Review (DR) governance gates, ensuring functional design development of systems, structures, or components via staged DR gates, and meeting approved delivery timescales.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribution to Rolls‑Royce SMR Generic Design Assessment approval.
- Support the design and delivery of the modular kit of parts as part of the Frames team within modularisation.
- Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or equivalent) with experience in design and delivery of modular frames and associated variants.
- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check.

Salaryand Package
- Salary between £48,000 and £62,500 DOE.
- Bonus – Performance related target opportunity 12.5%.
- Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package.
