We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Aviation Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects for local airport agencies and private clients, contributing to the advancement of aviation infrastructure.
LocationsAtlanta, GA;
Denver, CO; several locations in Nebraska (Bellevue, Grand Island, Lincoln, Omaha);
Kansas (Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka, Manhattan);
Kansas City, MO; and Nashville, TN. Remote work options are also available.
- Lead the design of essential infrastructure elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities.
- Ensure thorough project design calculations and conduct independent quality control reviews.
- Manage the development and coordination of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
- Oversee drafting processes and the compilation of plan sets.
- Develop task work plans and guide team members through project phases.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and organize technical meetings.
- Conduct occasional field construction observations, which may require travel.
- Participate actively in professional organizations to stay updated with industry trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in aviation project engineering.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
- Proficiency in FAA design standards and advanced use of CADD software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to perform complex analyses and design work.
- Proven ability to assemble complete design packages for various projects.
- Experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
