Position: PCT Patent Analyst (Contract) - Computing/Electronics/Physics

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Accept projects weekly with defined due dates based on availability
• Conduct comprehensive searches to locate relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
• Prepare written opinions applying most relevant prior art to disclosures
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases
• Ensure compliance with the employer’s Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or related field
• 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
• 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• U.S. citizen or work‑eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Previous patent examining/patent searching experience
• Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
• Master's degree or PhD is a plus
