Field Support Engineer – Staffmark – Houston, TX, US
Job Title: Field Support Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Home-based when not in the field)
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Mon‑Fri
Responsibilities- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and the company’s engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot industrial machinery and software at customer sites.
- Provide on‑site and remote engineering support to minimize customer downtime.
- Assist clients with network configuration and administration, including the setup of Windows and database servers.
- Document service activities and maintain detailed service logs.
- Conduct customer training on the company’s software products as needed.
- Deliver services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service manuals.
- Escalate technical issues and recommend improvements to support quality standards.
- Bachelor of Science required; a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and hands‑on experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Previous field service or customer support experience.
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS and networking concepts.
- Willingness to travel; up to 75% of the role involves on‑site customer visits.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is highly desirable.
