Avionics Engineer Senior (Full-time)

• Design, develop, and integrate complex military electrical and/or electronic systems (e.g., aircraft power distribution, microprocessor‑based systems, real‑time networks).
• Oversee hardware and software projects, applying strong avionics software knowledge.
• Support avionics subsystem definition, verification, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test & evaluation, and airworthiness certification.
• Provide advice and assistance with systems engineering processes: planning, analysis, design, configuration management, integration, verification & validation.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Collaborate with design, development, and test teams on advanced hardware/software efforts.
• Deliver highly technical expertise, solve complex engineering problems, and develop standards and guidelines.
• Develop technical requirements for system development phases, including Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) and Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC).
• Participate in hardware evaluations, technical interchange meetings, design reviews, configuration audits, and first‑article tests.
• Support engineering tasks such as trade‑off studies, quality evaluations, deficiency reports, and depot assistance requests.

• Master’s or Doctorate in a related field with ten years of experience (five in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations).
• OR Bachelor’s in a related field with twelve years of experience (five in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations).
• Undergraduate degree with an ABET‑accredited engineering program (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
