Avionics Engineer Senior (Full-time)
Location:
Robins AFB, GA (Remote work possible from WPAFB)

Responsibilities- Design, develop, and integrate complex military electrical and/or electronic systems (e.g., aircraft power distribution, microprocessor‑based systems, real‑time networks).
- Oversee hardware and software projects, applying strong avionics software knowledge.
- Support avionics subsystem definition, verification, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test & evaluation, and airworthiness certification.
- Provide advice and assistance with systems engineering processes: planning, analysis, design, configuration management, integration, verification & validation.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Collaborate with design, development, and test teams on advanced hardware/software efforts.
- Deliver highly technical expertise, solve complex engineering problems, and develop standards and guidelines.
- Develop technical requirements for system development phases, including Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria (TACC) and Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC).
- Participate in hardware evaluations, technical interchange meetings, design reviews, configuration audits, and first‑article tests.
- Support engineering tasks such as trade‑off studies, quality evaluations, deficiency reports, and depot assistance requests.
- Master’s or Doctorate in a related field with ten years of experience (five in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations).
- OR Bachelor’s in a related field with twelve years of experience (five in DoD or USG ISR/SOF organizations).
- Undergraduate degree with an ABET‑accredited engineering program (e.g., electrical, mechanical, aerospace).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
