Profit Solvis a SaaS business services provider for the legal and accounting industry. We are looking for an Director of Engineering to join our growing team!
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering to lead the software development efforts for our innovative SaaS product. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in software development and engineering leadership, including 5+ years of hands‑on experience with .Net and React frameworks. This is a high‑impact role that will involve strategic decision‑making, team management, and hands‑on technical contributions to drive the success of our product and engineering team.

- Define engineering goals, priorities, and deliverables in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain a high‑performing engineering team capable of delivering high‑quality SaaS solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high‑quality SaaS applications leveraging .Net and React technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
- Lead architectural decisions, system design, and code reviews to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the platform.
- Work closely with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business priorities.
- Serve as the technical liaison across teams, ensuring clear communication between engineering, sales, customer support, and other departments.
- Implement and refine engineering processes and workflows to ensure efficient development cycles and delivery timelines.
- Drive adoption of best practices for software development, testing, and deployment within the engineering team.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position follows established policies and procedures to keep confidential information secure.
A great fit for this position has:- 7-10+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership roles preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience with .Net and React, with demonstrated hands‑on ability in both technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering SaaS products in a high‑growth environment.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops principles.
- Strong ability to make technical decisions while balancing business needs, scalability, and user experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Experience working at startups or in environments involving rapid product iteration.
- Expertise in microservices architecture and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience implementing them within teams.
- Prior experience scaling and optimizing SaaS applications to serve growing customer bases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is preferred;
Master’s degree would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent initiative and sound decision‑making ability.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Ability to meet work deadlines.
