Orion Engineers are looking for a dynamic Staff Engineer – Construction with a focus on infrastructure and the transportation industry to join our growing firm.

Orion Engineers, PLLC is seeking a Staff Engineer to assist our Construction Management team in delivering engineering services on existing projects and pursue new opportunities. At Orion Engineers, you will have the opportunity to continue to hone your technical skills working on a wide variety of engineering projects while gaining broad exposure to project accounting, client service, marketing, and product and business development.

• Conduct on‑site observation of work and inspect various work activities to ensure compliance with the contract drawings, all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Coordinate material testing, review contractor submittals, requests for information, and coordinate with the contractor.
• Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors, and public agencies.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Measure and document daily construction activities.
• Maintain a daily log of construction activities and other job site records.
• Monitor progress schedule and maintenance of traffic.

• 0‑4 years of prior experience in Construction Engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from an ABET accredited institution.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Construction Management desirable.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to perform tasks.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.

• Competitive starting salary ranging from $70,000 to $95,000, based on experience and qualifications.
