Join LHB, Inc. (LHB) as an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer on our Energy & Industry Team in the Duluth, Minnesota office.

• Providing mechanical engineering design for a variety of piping systems design projects.
• Work closely with clients to meet & exceed their objectives.
• Perform field verifications, identify & organize acquired field data.
• Ensure LHB QA/QC processes are followed.
• Perform design calculations & equipment selection.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• May 2026 graduate will be considered.
• Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Successful completion of FE exam.
• Preference given to candidates willing to relocate to Duluth, MN area.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software such as Ceasar II and/or AFT Fathom.
• Experience using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel intermittently.
• Familiarity with hazardous liquid, gas, process, and power piping systems.

• This position’s anticipated base salary range is $68,000 - $74,000 annually. The position is eligible for year-end bonuses, as well as straight time pay for all hours that exceed 40 in a work week. Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
