- Quickly read and understand technical disclosures to identify distinguishing nuances
- Perform comprehensive searches to locate the most relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
- Prepare written opinions applying prior art to disclosures
- Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and adhere to best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
- 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
- Ability to pass the USPTO background check and obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- U.S. citizen or work‑eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years
- Previous patent examining or searching experience
- Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with patent databases like Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
- Master's degree or PhD in a related field is a plus
