• Quickly read and understand technical disclosures to identify distinguishing nuances
• Perform comprehensive searches to locate the most relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
• Prepare written opinions applying prior art to disclosures
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and adhere to best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
• 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
• Ability to pass the USPTO background check and obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• U.S. citizen or work‑eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years

• Previous patent examining or searching experience
• Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with patent databases like Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
• Master's degree or PhD in a related field is a plus
