Position: PCT Patent Analyst (Contract) - Computing/Electronics/Physics

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Accept projects on a weekly basis with defined due dates based on availability
  • Perform comprehensive patent searches to identify relevant prior art
  • Prepare written opinions applying prior art to patent disclosures
  • Maintain proficiency with patent searching databases and technical publications
  • Ensure compliance with the employer's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
  • At least 1 year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
  • Must pass USPTO Background check and obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • U.S. citizen or work‑eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous patent examining or searching experience
  • Strong skills in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
  • Experience with patent databases such as Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field is a plus
