Electrical Drafter
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator/Electrical Drafter or Designer to join our team and support our ongoing projects. You will play a critical role in modeling electrical systems based on markup drawings or verbal instructions provided by electrical detailers.
- Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and verbal instructions.
- Set up Revit views and sheets for shop drawings preparation.
- Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
- Attend meetings with clients to discuss drawings and designs.
- Proficiency in electrical drafting and design.
- Experience with BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- 2-5 years of experience working with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Knowledge of construction, blueprints, and architectural drawings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer design or equivalent technical school experience.
- 4-10 years of experience in the construction field.
- Experience in developing BIM models for M/E/P construction.
- Ability to solve complex problems and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
You will work primarily in an office setting with some remote work options available. Collaboration with other BIM detailers on projects is essential, and occasional site visits will be required. The position offers 2 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, 6 paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfax, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75,000.00 – $90,000.00/hr.
