Remote Pilot Operator
Full‑time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) position with SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) at the Seattle ARTCC (ZSE) in Auburn, WA. The RPO supports FAA air traffic controller training services.
Job Description: The RPO plays the role of the pilot and other controllers in the Air Traffic Controller training simulator. The RPO operates a simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate pilot actions and communication during medium and high‑fidelity training exercises. The RPO receives voice commands from students, inputs entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions, translates displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology, and responds to the student via the VCS using proper phraseology.

Please note this is NOT a UAS / UAV / RPV / DRONE pilot position.
Required Certification: Classroom certification (pass test on airspace and procedures) and Lab certification (perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions).

Qualifications- High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency; ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals; clear speaking ability.
- US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification in ATC Tower, TRACON or En Route simulation lab – strongly desired but not required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of FAA JO 7110.65 – strongly desired but not required.
- Team building skills.
- MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Familiarity with current technological tools (tablets, notebooks, applications, etc.).
- Familiarity or experience with pilot/controller communications or phraseology.
