Norda Stelo means Star of the North, where the possibilities are endless in terms of innovation, development and commitment.

Our vision is collective and our DNA is truly human!

The team behind the genius

Our team of experts in integrity and reliability is dedicated to the prevention of equipment and structural failures.

Our clients can count on this expertise in preventing failures at all stages of the life cycle of their critical assets in order to exploit them in an ever safer and more profitable way.

With our expanding client base and growing project needs, we are looking to add one junior structural engineer to join our dynamic ASSET Integrity & Reliability Management Division.

The position will involve a secondment for an ongoing structural rehabilitation project at a heavy industrial mining facility in the interior British Columbia, providing hands-on exposure to industrial environments and critical infrastructure. The resource will work as the lead Structural Engineer on site to support the construction works, project planning, and project execution. This is your chance to combine technical growth and practical hands-on experience as an engineer with exposure to large-scale industrial projects and structural rehabilitation challenges.

The rotational schedule is planned to alternate between on-site work every second week and remote work from home. For this reason, a candidate residing in Cranbrook, Fernie, Calgary, or vicinity is strongly preferred for close access to the project location. All accommodations, meals, transportation, and travel time for site rotations are covered.

The ASSET Reliability team is based out of the Broadway Tech Centre in Vancouver, who will support and oversee the project remotely and will provide additional resources to supplement the onsite presence.

Our expertise is diversifying, how about you?

As an integral member of the ASSET Integrity & Reliability Management Division, you will be involved in performing equipment and facility condition inspections, compiling and writing technical reports and memorandums, completing structural design work and analysis (steel, concrete, and timber), conducting on-site construction reviews, and preparing drawings, fee estimates, and service proposals. The ASSET division has a strong focus on condition inspections, maintenance, and repair/replacement projects which support the ports, mining, bulk materials handling, and construction materials sectors.

The responsibilities on the project involve, but are not limited to:

  • Detailed structural engineering design and analysis

  • Development of structural repair packages and plans
