Integrated Photonics Application Engineer
Hyper Light is at the forefront of the commercialization of thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) integrated photonics, enabling high‑performance, scalable optical components across AI, datacom, hyperscale computing, quantum computing, and sensing. Founded in 2018 and backed by leading venture capital, we focus on real‑world mass deployment of TFLN photonic technology.
Requirements- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers participating in multichip wafer (MPW) runs.
- Manage MPW schedules, PDK, and deliverables.
- Assist customers with PDK usage, layout reviews, DRC, and tapeout submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams on mask preparation, process compatibility, and wafer testing.
- Drive continuous improvement in MPW processes and documentation.
- Support customer onboarding and training sessions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in semiconductor/optics/photonics industry; MPW or PDK experience a plus.
- Familiarity with basics of microwave circuits and components, electro‑optic modulators, layout tools (e.g., KLayout), mask preparation, and GDS flows.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with external customers and cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
