If you are a Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres) with advanced knowledge and skills in building design, you will find a challenging and rewarding career at Royal Haskoning

DHV. You will work with some of the most demanding customers in the world and collaborate with our global colleagues. You will also use 3D design tools to deliver detailed and high-quality solutions for our MCF projects. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents for each project;
• Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within team;
• Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties;
• Lead and challenge design solutions and changes;
• Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team where your work will be cross borders, native and home based. In addition to participating in projects, you naturally also contribute to the optimization of our internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within your field.

As our new Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of the team Mission Critical Facilities (MCF). This team provides consultancy services for datacenter clients and includes professionals from various fields such as engineering, construction, and architecture. The team works on integrated designs for data centers and has completed various projects. Working with this team means joining a leading market and a dedicated and passionate team.

DHV Switzerland AG, the collaboration between local Swiss firm Confirm AG and Haskoning.

You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude. Besides that, you have:

• Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
• Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors;
• Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM
  360, CDE);
• Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients;
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English and German.

You will be based in Zurich, being part of, and contributing to, our expanding Swiss office. As our clients are based in various locations nationally and internationally, flexibility towards traveling is expected.
