Wood seeks engineers for contract assignments across several disciplines, including Subsea Decommissioning, Subsea Operations and Subsea Project Engineering. These positions will support our expanding Consulting team and can be based at our Aberdeen office or seconded to a client’s site, with flexible hybrid working arrangements where appropriate.

Contract professionals will drive technical solutions across the full project life‑cycle, leveraging engineering and project management skills. They will demonstrate a proven track‑record in the specified roles, and a solid understanding of regulatory legislation and industry best practice. All roles will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams of experts to deliver high‑quality outcomes that ensure client satisfaction.

• Work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver services that meet those needs
• Support multiple projects simultaneously without compromising milestones

What makes you remarkable?

Expected

• Strong customer focus and teamwork skills
• Adaptable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, preferably civil, mechanical or subsea engineering
• Extensive subsea engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven record in decommissioning, operations or projects
• Demonstrated project‑management skills, managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering results within deadlines and budgets
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and contractors
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, focusing on innovative and practical solutions to complex subsea challenges
• Sound understanding of HSE regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment

Desirable

• Chartered Engineer
• Existing offshore certificates and medical clearance
• Project development experience
