Job Summary
As a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer in a global engineering firm within the energy sector, you will lead complex piping flexibility analyses, provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that piping systems comply with design codes, project specifications, and safety standards. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering deliverables for large-scale projects across conventional and emerging energy markets.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Analysis- Lead advanced pipe stress analyses for critical systems across various operating conditions.
- Review and validate pipe support designs, load cases, and flexibility solutions.
- Interpret and apply relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) to ensure compliance.
- Develop, review, and approve engineering documents including stress reports, support schedules, interface data, and calculation packages.
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, structural, and process teams to resolve design issues and optimize system layouts.
- Provide input to project schedules, man-hour estimates, and risk assessments.
- Offer expert input during design reviews, HAZOPs, model reviews, and constructability assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project managers to align engineering solutions with project goals and constraints.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor documents for compliance with engineering requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of pipe stress engineering experience within the energy sector (Senior-level requirement).
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard pipe stress analysis software CAESAR II.
- In-depth knowledge of piping design codes, flexibility principles, and industry practices.
- Proven ability to lead technical work scopes, manage deliverables, and interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Licensed Greek professional engineer with stamping capacity, fluent in English.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to guide and mentor engineering staff.
