Tetra Tech is adding a Project Engineer to provide technical support to Project Managers in the design and implementation of a variety of Civil Engineering projects, including marinas, seawalls, docks, stormwater systems, and ecosystem restoration projects.
The successful candidate will assist with design development, report preparation, and construction documentation, while gaining valuable hands‑on experience in water resources and marine infrastructure engineering.

Essential Job Functions- Utilize CADD to prepare design drawings for a variety of civil and water resource projects.
- Assist Project Managers with the preparation of engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Prepare project specifications in support of construction bidding and implementation.
- Support construction oversight and field‑related engineering tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with Tetra Tech’s safety, quality, and project management standards.
- Ensure all work complies with internal procedures, legislative requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain a strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Support project managers and engineering leads in plan development, documentation, and project delivery.
- Work safely at all times and promptly report any health and safety incidents or concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in civil or water resources engineering.
- CADD experience required (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license within the next 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Experience in stormwater design, marine structures, or ecosystem restoration.
- Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
- Familiarity with construction oversight and specification preparation.
- Ability to perform field work as needed, including site inspections and construction oversight.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Work is primarily office‑based with periodic field and site visits.
- Field work may involve exposure to construction sites, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions.
